How To Help

We know you’re thinking, From Rim To Hub is such a great site! How can an insignificant person like me possibly help make it better?

Or maybe you’re thinking, From Rim To Hub sucks! I, with my amazing expertise, need to show them how a real site is run. Maybe, then, they will be merely very bad.

Or you’re thinking, What is this? I was looking for an essay on dwarf femininity!

Whatever you’re thinking, we know what we’re thinking, and what we’re thinking is this: We want volunteers to make From Rim To Hub the best it can be. So this is the page where we tell you how you can help:

  1. Comment! The more comments there are, the more this feels like a community. The more this feels like a community, the more fun this site is to visit (for you) and run (for us).
  2. Tell your friends! The more friends you tell, the more people visit the site. The more people visit the site, the more comments there are. The more comments there are, the more this feels like a community, and so on and so forth.
  3. Send us news tips. Right now we think we provide the most frequently updated news source specifically for Discworld fans. We can’t do that without news tips, so email us often!
  4. Submit reviews of events, such as plays, talks, camping trips, informal fan meetings, conventions, tv/radio features, and absolutely anything else you can think of.
  5. Submit reviews of books (either the novels or companion books), movies, and dvds.
  6. Volunteer for our podcast. All sorts of help in this area would be, well, helpful. If you would like to co-host (i.e. spout your opinions all over the internet), edit the audio, or transcribe the episodes, we would like you to do so!
  7. Do you run your own site, forum, blog, mailing list, or something else? Send us a link or other relevant information so we can tell our visitors about it!
  8. Think you can do better than us? Shoot us an email saying so, and we might just let you expand part of the site!
  9. Have an idea for a feature? Email us with the idea, and we can help you get it started with our resources! Our Discworld playlist started similarly.
