The planned fourth (and last) book in the Tiffany Aching sub-series. Terry Pratchett said on his latest Making Money American tour that by the end of Midnight, Tiffany and her readers will probably be ready to graduate to the broader Discworld series.
An oft-mentioned future Discworld novel, which Terry Pratchett plans to center around Moist von Lipwig’s attempts to bring taxes to Ankh-Morpork.
The next planned Discworld novel, which will center around a completely new set of characters. The novel will be set on a small island, and will feature two survivors of a tsunami. Terry Pratchett read an excerpt out loud to his audience at the Bath literature festival in February 2008.
The second book featuring Moist von Lipwig on the Discworld, this time featuring Moist’s attempts (at Vetinary’s insistence, of course) to run the Ankh-Morpork bank amid dastardly (and comical) plots, a neurotic clerk, and one extremely powerful dog.
The third book in the young-adult subseries of the Discworld featuring the logical and sensible Tiffany Aching, trainee witch. Tiffany, in a departure from her normal behavior, disobeys strict orders and ends up attracting the attention of the wintersmith. So Tiffany and the Nac Mac Feegle–and even Granny Weatherwax and Nanny Ogg–must restore things to how they were, lest Tiffany-shaped snowflakes fall forever and the sheep on the chalk die of cold.
Here is a complete list of the books in the Discworld series, listed in order by publication year:
"When someone is saved from a certain death by a strange concatenation of circumstances, they say that’s a miracle. But of course if someone is killed by a freak chain of events--the oil spilled just there, the safety fence broken just there--that must also be a miracle. Just because it’s not nice doesn’t mean it’s not miraculous."
