Im sorry to say it as im a great fan of his, but David Jason is not right for Rincewind, hes a little to old i think (no offence) and ive always imaged rincewind as scrawny and a little ratty not like David J whos a little “stubby”
To be honest, that was my first impression too, but I’ve heard some good things from some of the fan extras (not that they’d say anything else, though). Mostly I’m adopting a just-wait-and-see attitude.
I will totally bet someone that Alan Rickman is playing the Patrician. How awesome would that be?
But seriously, why keep it under wraps? If it was such a big name actor, wouldn’t they want to milk as much buzz and press out of the name as possible? They did it to a disgusting degree with David Jason in Hogfather.
You may call me a conspiracy theorist, but maybe the actor is someone no one’s ever heard of and they don’t want to disappoint people.
It’s definitely Alan Rickman. That’s if it isn’t David Jason again * rolls eyes *
So it was announced recently that it’s actually Jeremy Irons. Terry said Irons was his top choice, so I’m looking forward to an absolutely fantastic performance.
